Grant completed his apprenticeship at The Goring Hotel. A family owned 5 star hotel situated just behind Buckingham Palace and rated in the "Worlds top 100 hotels". With a very distinguished history for being the choice of royalty from many countries, it is now in it's 5th generation of hands on family management and control under the direction of Mr George Goring MBE.
During this time Grant attended Westminster Kingsway College of Catering and hospitality on a day release basis where he attained distinctions upon completion.
With nearly twenty years experience in all areas of the catering industry, from 5 star hotels and top London restaurants to exclusive private health resorts (including Champneys) and high class private dinner parties, you can be assured that the food served at Restaurant 65 is of the very highest standard.

Having worked under some of the countries top chefs (some with Michelin Stars) Grant possesses a very high personal standard. Together with a wealth of knowledge in many styles of cuisine, a thorough understanding of special dietary requirements, food allergies and intolerance's you can assured of a memorable fine dining experience not to be matched elsewhere in Hemel Hempstead.
Grant likes to follow the principles of "Fresh is Best", "Quality over Quantity" and "Moderation and Variety".
He say's: "No matter how technically good a chef is, it is not possible to create dishes of the highest quality without using the best and freshest ingredients that are in season".

Grant is also holds a qualification in cuisine, gym and fitness and martial arts instruction and has worked as an associate chef lecturer at Cassio Campus.
In 2008, restaurant 65 was awarded the "Michelin Bib Gourmand". The Bib Gourmand symbol indicates a restaurant offering good food at moderate prices. For the 2009 Guide, the price of a full meal (excluding drinks) is under £28.
